Consultation & Planning
Before surgery, Dr. Orman conducts a thorough consultation to assess your breast anatomy, chest measurements, skin quality and tissue characteristics. Implant type, size, shape, profile and placement are selected collaboratively — ensuring the planned result is achievable, proportionate and completely aligned with your vision.
Anaesthesia
Breast augmentation is performed under general anaesthesia in an internationally accredited private hospital in Istanbul. You will be completely comfortable and unaware throughout the entire procedure.
Incision
A carefully placed incision is made in one of several discreet locations — most commonly in the natural crease beneath the breast where scarring will be virtually invisible once healed. The incision location is confirmed during your consultation based on your anatomy and the implant selected.
Pocket Creation
A pocket is created either beneath the breast tissue or beneath the chest muscle — known as subglandular or submuscular placement respectively. The most appropriate placement for your anatomy and implant choice is determined during your consultation and has a significant impact on the naturalness and longevity of the result.
Implant Placement
The selected implant is carefully inserted into the prepared pocket and positioned precisely to achieve the planned shape, symmetry and natural appearance. Dr. Orman assesses the result carefully before closing to ensure both sides are perfectly balanced.
Closing and Support
All incisions are carefully closed and a supportive surgical bra is fitted to protect the implants, minimise swelling and support the healing process. You are then moved to your private recovery room where Dr. Orman will visit you personally before discharge.

What to expect during your breast augmentation recovery.
Breast augmentation recovery is more straightforward than many patients expect. Most women are pleasantly surprised by how quickly they begin to feel comfortable and how natural the results look even in the early stages of healing.
Timeline:
Days 1–3
Some swelling, bruising and tightness across the chest is completely normal. Pain is well managed with prescribed medication. A surgical bra must be worn continuously and rest is essential during this period. Most patients feel comfortable moving around gently from day 2.
Week 1–2
Swelling begins to reduce and bruising starts to fade. Most patients feel significantly more comfortable by the end of the first week. Week 2–6

Month 1–3
Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided until cleared by Dr. Orman, typically around 6 weeks. The implants continue to settle and soften during this period. Results become increasingly natural as the swelling fully resolves.
Final Results
Final breast augmentation results are typically fully visible between 3 and 6 months after surgery once the implants have fully settled into their natural position. The naturally enhanced, proportionate and confident result you and Dr. Orman designed together is now fully revealed.
Activities to avoid during recovery:
- Underwired bras for at least 6 to 8 weeks or until cleared by Dr. Orman
- Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting for at least 6 weeks
- Sleeping on your stomach for at least 6 weeks
- Swimming or submerging incisions in water for at least 6 weeks
- Smoking throughout the entire recovery period
- Significant weight fluctuations which can affect the appearance of your results
