What happens during your breast lift procedure?
A breast lift is a carefully planned procedure that requires both surgical precision and a genuine artistic understanding of breast anatomy and proportion. Here is a step by step overview of what to expect.

Before surgery, Dr Orman will examine the position of your breasts and nipples, the amount of loose skin and your existing breast volume. Based on this assessment, he will recommend the most suitable breast lift technique and explain whether a lift alone is likely to meet your expectations.
Anestezi
A breast lift is performed under general anaesthesia in an internationally JCI accredited private hospital in Istanbul. You will be completely comfortable and unaware throughout the entire procedure.

Nipple Repositioning

What to expect during your breast lift recovery.
Breast lift recovery is very manageable for most patients. Most women are pleasantly surprised by how quickly they begin to feel comfortable and how naturally beautiful the result looks even in the early stages of healing.

You can expect some swelling, bruising and tightness after surgery. The medical team will help you manage any discomfort and encourage you to take short walks when you feel ready. You will also wear a support bra to protect the breasts as they begin to heal.
1–2. Hafta
Most international patients stay in Istanbul for around five to seven days after surgery. During this time, we will check your incisions, monitor your recovery and answer any questions before you travel home.
2–6. Hafta
You should start to feel more comfortable, although some swelling and sensitivity may remain. Many patients can return to desk-based work during this period, but you should still avoid lifting, strenuous exercise and sleeping on your front. Your aftercare continues after you return home.
1–3 Ay
Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided until cleared by Dr. Orman, typically around 6 weeks. The breasts continue to settle and soften. Scars begin to fade and soften during this period and the final shape becomes increasingly apparent.

Final breast lift results are typically fully visible between 3 and 6 months after surgery once the breasts have fully settled into their new position. The final result of a mastopexy in Turkey cannot be judged immediately. Breast tissue, swelling and scars all need time to settle.
Activities to avoid during breast uplift recovery:

Breast lift results can last for many years, but the breasts will continue to change with age, pregnancy and weight fluctuations. Maintaining a stable weight can help preserve the result.
